Marg has always strived to produce the very best in animal apparel, Haute couture for horses and Designer threads for dogs. Initially it was wool and cotton dress rugs for horses including covers for the New Zealand Eventng Team that competed at the Athens Olympics. Hobby Horse NZ horse apparel has been manufactured for well over 15 years.

It was a suggestion by her daughter Penelope , however, along with her strong desire for making quality natural fibre products that eventually led Marg into making dog coats of the highest quality out of the exceptionally soft merino possum wool. From the outset Penelope has been very involved with the dog coat design and choice of colours. They both work very well as a team along with their shared passion for horses both competng in the Show Ring and dressage arena. It has taken time for dog owners to accept that dogs too need to be kept warm. This is especially true for older dogs, those with fine coats and those dogs who are clipped out.

Always using the best materials available for both her equestrian and canine products is paramount for their effectiveness , This includes sourcing attractive trims from as far away as Australia and the UK also the best quality hook & loop ( velcro ) from the United States.

Marg's decision to use Merino Cash - a blend of natural eco fur and Merino Fibres unique to New Zealand was to ensure her dog coats would guarantee warmth, softness and comfort for man's best friend.
